Who we are
Madrasah Quran is a free Quran reading and study app provided by MAKSUD LIMITED. Maksud Community handles support and privacy enquiries at [email protected].
Your reading stays on your device
The app does not require an account. Profile names, bookmarks, notes, reading position, reading and listening activity, preferences and downloaded recitations are stored on your device. The app does not upload these records to MAKSUD LIMITED and does not offer cloud synchronisation. You can use a nickname for a local profile. Your operating system may include app data in backups, depending on your device and backup settings.
Online recitation
When you stream or download audio, the app connects to EveryAyah or Hugging Face and their delivery services. These services receive your IP address, the requested audio or catalogue resource, and connection information needed to deliver it. They may keep service and security logs under their own policies; MAKSUD LIMITED does not control those logs. Your local profile name, notes, bookmarks and activity records are not included in these requests. Providers may process connection information outside your country. Quran pages and translations work offline, and completed audio downloads can be played offline.
No advertising or app tracking
Madrasah Quran contains no advertising, advertising identifiers, third-party analytics SDKs or app-operated tracking. We do not sell your personal information. Apple or Google may process store, diagnostic or TestFlight information under their own policies and your platform settings.
Sharing is your choice
If you use a share action, only the content you choose is passed to the app or recipient you select through the system share sheet. Their handling of that content is governed by their own policies.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use this information to respond, investigate the issue and maintain relevant support records, relying on our legitimate interest in supporting the app. Our email service processes correspondence to deliver and store it. Please avoid sending children's names, private study notes or other sensitive information unless necessary. We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to resolve the enquiry, manage related issues or meet legal obligations.
Deleting information and your choices
You can delete bookmarks and notes in the app, remove additional profiles, and remove downloaded audio in Settings. Removing the app and its data removes its local records; device or cloud backups are managed separately in your operating system. We cannot retrieve or delete records held only on your device. Contact [email protected] about personal information you have sent to us. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing, and complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or your local data protection authority.
Children and shared devices
Local profiles do not create online accounts, and we do not request a child's contact information through the app. Parents and teachers should manage shared devices and help children with online downloads, sharing or support enquiries. Anyone with access to an unlocked device may be able to see its local profiles and notes.
This website and other services
Our support website does not add advertising or analytics scripts. Its hosting provider processes technical connection information to serve and protect the website. External websites and content services have their own privacy practices. Hugging Face's policy is at https://huggingface.co/privacy; EveryAyah is at https://everyayah.com.
